HBO even created the popular series “Deadwood” that had 3 successful seasons and was centered on the notorious past of the town.

    Statistics show that gamblers had bet more than $12.7 billion in the Deadwood casinos. The Gaming Commission of South Dakota has noted that the casinos won back close to $11.6 billion, and their gross revenue was a massive $1.1 billion.

    The casinos have paid $208 million in taxes and fees. Part of the taxes went to state coffers, while the city of Deadwood got more than $123 million for local developments.

    The sights, the great casinos and the amazing entertainment are what bring visitors from all over to all through the year and the town intends to keep it that way.
